We will be celebrating the Flower Communion, a Skylands tradition. Please bring a flower(s) to contribute to a communal vase that will be the a central part of the program. The flowers can come from anywhere: your yard, a garden, etc.

In Peru, there is an ancient ceremony called the “Despacho.” Among the Quechua Indians, the despacho ceremony is the centerpiece of their spiritual and ritualistic heritage. The word means “sending a message or care package” in Spanish. It’s an act of love that reminds us of the interconnectedness shared between all beings, elements, spirits, and sacred places.

This is our traditional Service Sunday and Potluck.  Usually held on the first Sunday of every month, this Service Sunday will be on April 8 (no service on April 1).  Come donate your time, energy, and talents to help the building and grounds of SUUF look their best! It is amazing what a group of people working together can achieve.

Rites of Spring

This Sunday at SUUF at 10am, we will celebrate the Spring Equinox with our annual Rites of Spring.  This will be an earth-based intergenerational service with rituals for letting go of winter and and other baggage, as well as planting the seeds of Spring, rebirth and new intentions in our lives.

The music of Carolyn McDade

This service will explore the music and life of Carolyn McDade, who wrote many of the songs we and other UUs sing other Sundays. She also was a co-creator of the Water Service that we use as the first service of the fall.  Come learn more about the woman who doesn't identify as a UU but is still an important part of our faith.
