Our first service for the fall will be our traditional in-gathering Water Service where we celebrate coming back together as a community.  If you remembered to collect a water sample (I never do) from a place you went to this summer please bring it, but there will also be water provided to be poured into a communal vase.

Flower Communion

We will be celebrating the Flower Communion, a Skylands tradition. Please bring a flower(s) to contribute to a communal vase that will be the a central part of the program. The flowers can come from anywhere: your yard, a garden, etc.

Despacho

In Peru, there is an ancient ceremony called the “Despacho.” Among the Quechua Indians, the despacho ceremony is the centerpiece of their spiritual and ritualistic heritage. The word means “sending a message or care package” in Spanish. It’s an act of love that reminds us of the interconnectedness shared between all beings, elements, spirits, and sacred places.

This is our traditional Service Sunday and Potluck.  Usually held on the first Sunday of every month, this Service Sunday will be on April 8 (no service on April 1).  Come donate your time, energy, and talents to help the building and grounds of SUUF look their best! It is amazing what a group of people working together can achieve.
